Construction of Wastewater Treatment Plant Permam, North Iraq
As part of an urban development master plan for the communities Permam and Kore in northern Iraq, the Hydro-Ingenieure GmbH was assigned to design a wastewater treatment plant.
The treatment process of the plant includes a mechanical pre-cleaning of the wastewater, as well as a biological treatment in SB-reactors. The advantage of this treatment technology is that it can be expanded by single modules and, thus, can be adapted to the increasing connection rate of the plant. The treated wastewater is reused for agricultural irrigation purposes.
